A Marquee wedding editorial for Whimsical Wonderland blog

The Cotswold Marquee wedding photoshoot was inspired by the Petal Pole Marquee and the white canvas it provides for every bride and groom. On this occasion, we have styled it (Wonderful Events and Boutique marquees) in keeping with the rustic autumn wedding vibe and setting of the beautiful Warwickshire countryside on one side and stunning Victorian Oldberrow House on the other. These marquees are an ideal British alternative to the iconic Sperry tents, ever so popular in the US.
Styling
We have chosen a rustic-chic autumn theme with a touch of golden luxury as our style – style we believe will be hugely in demand in wedding seasons 2018 and 2019. Featuring berry tones, lots of green foliage, and a relaxed, outdoor vibe. Wild and romantic flowers were done by talented Eleanor from the Stem Ginger. Table decorations, lounge area, and a massive help with heavy lifting by Juan from WoW business. Our raw materials come alive in handmade oak trestle tables, lace table runners, gold charger plates, copper cutlery, and gold rim glass wear. We have also played around with the different types of chairs and decided to use folding chairs for the main photo shoot as we feel they are very practical, affordable, and look great in comparison to well-known Chiavari chairs or the most expensive to hire – French cross back chairs.
Photography
Our marquee wedding photo shoot would be nothing without amazing Esme Fletcher and her perfect captivation of our work. She brings out the colours and the rustic mood of the style and the lighting is perfect even though we had some bad weather on the day!
Bride
We had the pleasure of working with Sian and Nikola from Tilly Trotter’s brides, Leamington Spa. Their stunning model Amy has been photographed in two gowns, slick and classy Charlie Brear and lace romance by Watters Wtoo. We must not forget the look of our bride model Amy with fantastic looking makeup by BryonyDalton and natural-looking hair by Jess from ModeWarwickBridalHairandMakeup.
Bar
As our petal marquee offers such a great outdoor experience, we have asked lovely Jess from the Savva bars and catering to join us
and have a fun day mixing some cocktails while having the photos taken. Yes, we have all enjoyed it very much plus the blue horse-box bar looks the part.
Stationery
Our natural and bespoke look wouldn’t work without hand-made original stationery by Utterly Amore. Whatever the theme of the wedding, Lou will make those special details stand out.
